National Organic Training Skillnet (NOTS) received the award for the Best Learning and Development Organisation (Network & Groups) in Ireland at the annual Irish Institute of Training and Development (IITD) Awards, which took place in the Killashee House Hotel in Kildare in March.

The award was given to the network in recognition of the innovative learning and support that it gives to Ireland’s expanding agriculture and food sector. The network offers a real enterprise-led approach to businesses, whereby they can access bespoke training programmes that match their emerging skills needs and help them develop and drive their enterprise forward. This high-quality learning is provided at a reduced cost through Skillnets funding.

Network Manager Margaret O’Rourke Doherty stated “how proud and honoured NOTS are at receiving this IITD Award, which recognises the hard work, skills, passion and knowledge that NOTS offer to the Irish agriculture and food industry. NOTS strives to develop programmes that offer best practice delivered in a suitable manner that matches the needs of the trainee, company and the end customer. We offer far more than training and courses; we offer the best learning and development with a real purpose and objective.”

Margaret also thanked Skillnets for their continued funding support and guidance. National Organic Training Skillnet are just one of over 60 networks offering innovative learning at a reduced cost to Irish enterprise across a wide range of sectors.
